For App Sales today I recommend you go to the Indie Gala where for the next 6 Days they are doing the Indie Bundle 2. The Indie Bundle is a great concept to support charities and/or independent developers, you can drop as little as $1 to get Ichi, Battle Group and The Lost Souls. If you pay over the average donation which currently stands at $5.29 you also get Xelorians, Call of Cthulhu: Wasted Land and Little Stars for Little Wars 2. They also offer some PC Games as well when you purchase the full bundle : Tiny Plumbers, Spin Deluxe and Cute Things D. V.

On Checking out via PayPal or Google Wallet you are able to specify where your money goes to either The Indie Gala team, the independent devs who supply the games or a choice of two charities :

  • Able Gamers – Enables children and adults with disabilities and veterans after war trauma to play video games
  • Help For Emilia – Part of charity share can be donated to sustain Italian Red Cross in its fundraising for Emilia Romagna, an Italian region recently hit by an earthquake.

So 6 Android games and 3 PC Games for just over $5.29 that’s pretty decent and the games look pretty good as well. Hit them up at the Indie Gala website.

For a free app today, I highly recommend The Verge app which they have released, it gives you an app with which to access one of the best tech news sites in the world(Except for Ausdroid of course). The app allows you to read and comment on posts and view video’s of their podcasts and all the good stuff, quite a decent app for a first release and I’m sure they’ll polish the interface a little over time.

Zinio the Magazine sales/viewing app is also having a sale for a limited time on some of their magazines, they have selected magazine issues for $0.99 or for free, this is possibly to combat the Play Magazines that Google are offering in the US, but for the rest of the world Zinio offers a decent Magazine app that you can use to consume your favourite magazines.

If you know of a good app you’d like to share or see an app on sale that you feel is a good deal, let me know by tweeting me or emailing me
