Daily App Sales Roundup – 20-08-12

Today we have an app from an Australian developer Justin called Regularly. The app allows you to add reminders to a list of regular tasks which are colour coded based on the urgency of the task, an overdue task is red an upcoming task green etc. It allows you to pick from a list of pre-defined tasks but also allows you to add your own tasks. I’ve been speaking with the developer and he is very responsive, the app is going to see more updates with the addition of custom notification times and frequencies for individual tasks coming in the next update.

The app will run on Android 2.1 upwards but things such as the expandable notifications are obviously Jelly Bean only. The app is very well designed with Holo theming in mind, I love the dark theme that is used and it is pretty customisable although I highly recommend reading through the tips to ensure you get the most out of it, I had issues with setting up tasks for the future and Justin is looking into making the interface a little more intuitive to navigate.

Definitely a good app to download and with more features on the way it’s definitely going quite well. I’ve been using it since yesterday and customising my own notifications and will be watching development very closely and may revisit it in a full review at a later stage but for now try it out, the app is free but you can select a donate option from the settings menu if you like it and you know we love to support the devs so throw a few dollars towards the dev to help further development.

If you know of a good app you’d like to share or see an app on sale that you feel is a good deal, let me know by tweeting me or emailing me

Description :
The Holly Spelling Game is designed to help children with their spelling homework. Any parent who owns a Droid phone can enter the words to study into the app database. This must be done before using the game. The reason there are no words in the database is to allow the parent to enter the words that are appropriate for the child’s grade level. Being able to handle these custom word lists is important, because the game can be tailored to each individual child, regardless of their grade level. The child can study the words, listen to the game pronounce the word and spell the word.
