The Mayans weren’t wrong. The whackos who made up the idea that the end of the current ‘long count’ was related to doomsday instead of just an excuse for a party – just like our millennium – are the ones who are wrong.

Remember after 1999 came 2000. Calendars don’t end they just tick over, the Mayans knew this.
