I`m a huge SciFi nerd, that means I love Star Trek(I also love Star Wars equally, no favourites) and with the new Star Trek Into Darkness movie due out in Australia in May Paramount has released the Star Trek App. The app contains a link to news, buy tickets(US Only unfortunately although Hoyts/Event etc will help you out), Sweep -prize is a trip to the US premiere(Again US Only), Sound Scanning -scan video clips to unlock exclusive content, Image Scanning -Scan various images to unlock bonus content, Map Scanning -Visit places like Star Trek HQ in San Francisco to unlock content.

Although the majority of the app is US based and focused there are a number of things you can still do which will allow you to unlock content I’ve put in a couple below to help you out :

The Star Trek App is available now in Google Play for devices running Gingerbread(Android 2.3) and higher it’s a 12MB Download which is now available to people in Australia having initially been blocked.
