Daily App Sales Roundup – 15-03-13

The Croods is an upcoming movie due for release on March 28th in Australia. Rovio of Angry Birds fame has teamed up with Dreamworks Animation to bring The Croods to Android in time for the movie. Before we proceed the game is Freemium based so while free to download there are in-app purchases.

The premise behind the game is pretty basic you hunt and gather. Essentially you’re looking to trap and tame 10 evolutionarily mixed up creatures, such as the Girelephant or Molarbear. You invent different things, decorate your cave and explore the world of the upcoming movie. The Freemium aspect of the game doesn’t tend to intrude terribly but its ever persistent presence tends to get a little grating. It’s not bad fun, but I don’t see myself playing it for terribly long.

Available for free for devices running Android 2.2 and upwards the game is 27MB to download from Google Play, give it a try and see what you think.
