If you’ve ever benchmarked a PC then you’ll be familiar with this new app : 3DMark. Futuremark has released 283MB of benchmarking goodness for your Android phones and tablets to the Google Play store. It’s not a bad app, it not only gives you your 3DMark score it also gives you some decent info on how your device performs through the tests. There’s also leaderboards to see how your device stacks up against the competition.

The app is 283MB to download so it’s not something that’s downloaded lightly but it is free. The 3DMark requires Android 3.1 and upwards so it’s not for older devices, but considering I have a $50 Huawei device running ICS that’s not to say much.

Found a good deal on an app you’d like to share? Are you an Australian developer with an app you would like reviewed? Or have you found a most expensive app on the Play Store? Let me know! You can tweet me or email me.
