Whilst I’ve been travelling around on holiday I’ve been drinking a few beers, trying to find some local brews and different beers I haven’t tried before and I found an app that’s part social network and part beer tracker, it’s called Untappd.

You can link your Twitter, FourSquare and Facebook accounts to share what you’re drinking. You can add a photograph of the beer you’re drinking as well as use FourSquare to add the location of where you’re drinking and rate the beer before sharing it. There is a beer discovery aspect to the app where it’s supposed to tell you where you can find your favorite beer nearby but I didn’t have much luck with it.

The app is free on Google Play, 3.3MB in size and is available for devices running Android 2.2 and upwards. Add me on Untappd, I am ‘Phroghollow’ – I really would love to see what beers you recommend.

Found a good deal on an app you’d like to share? Are you an Australian developer with an app you would like reviewed? Or have you found a most expensive app on the Play Store? Let me know! You can tweet me or email me.

I discovered and have been using Untappd for a while now, it’s a really good service that I’m surprised more people aren’t using, none of my FB or Twitter contacts are on it.
