Iron Man 3 flies into Google Play in time for Australian Movie launch

Iron Man 3
With Australian cinemas amongst the first in the world to show the latest movie from the Marvel superhero stable – Iron Man 3 – Gameloft has managed to release their official movie tie-in game to both Android and iOS on the same day. Admittedly the iOS version launched some 12 hours before the Android version but it’s now available to download from Google Play.

Free of charge the endless runner is fueled by in-app purchases to upgrade your weaponry and armour, but from first play it appears that you can get a fair way into the game without purchasing anything. The game plays in 3 locations – Malibu Shores, New York City and China – and sees you fighting 4 villians – Crimson Dynamo, Ezekiel Stane, Living Laser and the mighty M.O.D.O.K.

As part of a cross promotion deal, Gameloft is also running a competition in co-operation with Marvel for residents of Australia and New Zealand. Head over to IronMan3.com.au to play the game which sees you searching for and powering up Iron Man’s suits for your chance to win prizes. Clues to the whereabouts of the various suits are published on the Avengers ANZ Facebook page. Prizes include a tablet, an iPod touch and in-game credit for the Iron Man 3 game.

At 795MB it’s a hefty download but that also includes some pretty awesome looking graphics. Check it out in Google Play now.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.

It’s a temple run type of game unfortunately, bit disappointing.
