If I have one weakness when trying to do work, it’s Bejewled Blitz. The simple game from PopCap has been released to Google Play by EA Games as a Freemium title.

The game is pretty much as you find on Facebook including the inevitable connect to Facebook option to connect with your friends. The concept is a simple matching game, you match the coloured jewels in order to remove them from the playing space, in the process earning coins which you can spend to purchase upgrades or bonuses

In terms of Freemium status, I’ve yet to actually purchase something. I’ve been playing this game for years and never spent a cent so it’s not necessary but if you want to get higher scores you may feel compelled to do so.

The game plays really nicely and should do after the amount of time it has taken to get it onto Android. It’s a fairly weighty 40MB download and is available to Android devices running Gingerbread(2.3.3) and upwards.
