Vodafone updating the Samsung Galaxy SII to Jelly Bean 4.1.2

Vodafone Android

After a bit of a false start a couple of weeks ago, Vodafone and Samsung are now pushing the 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update to Galaxy SII owners. While most of these users are likely coming to the end of their contract, there’s still a huge number of users out there sporting the once flagship of the Android fleet.

In their blog post, Vodafone have stated that

As with all Samsung updates it is released in batches, so don’t worry if you haven’t received an update notification yet.

If you receive a message stating “Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it”, that means all the upgrade slots for that day have been exhausted.

So as hard as it can be to do so, you’ll have to be patient! You will get the update and it will happen in the next 2 weeks, just keep your eyes out for the update notification and act quickly if you get one.

Are you still rocking the S2? Are you excited to finally be getting an OTA update to Jellybean or did you circumvent the process and install a third party ROM? Let us know in the comments below.
