Daily App Sales Roundup – 08-07-13

How does your Recommended for You section of the Play Store look? Mine is awful :
Recommended
I know fundamentally why I have each of these things in there but wish there was a way I could help to clean the algorithim that is used to recommend stuff. I purchased The Hunger Games – so that’s why other Suzanne Collins books are in there, I use Feedly – so that’s why NewsRob is in there, But I have no idea why Blurred Lines, Radioactive and End of Watch are there. But I listen to nothing that is like Blurred Lines or Radiactive so I really have no idea what is in there. So today, the question is, do you purchase things from the Recommended for You list in Google Play?

Found a good deal on an app you’d like to share? Are you an Australian developer with an app you would like reviewed? Or have you found a most expensive app on the Play Store? Let me know! You can tweet me or email me.

Play recommendations needs two new buttons.

1. I already own this – ie recommend similar, but not this.
2. Never recommend this author/artist/genre ever, ever, ever…

There are some recommendations that I would buy, but not generally at the price they offer.

Oh and they should stop lying: people who bought ‘first 4 books of Song of Ice and Fire (in one volume)’ are really unlikely to have ‘also bought’ ‘Book 3 Part One’ separately.

Epoch is still showing as $2.99 to me.

I’m definitely considering Trial Of The Clone; I’m a big Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal comic fan.
