Unfortunately we don’t have many deals today, it’s pretty quiet, but the free app of the day entries should keep you fairly busy and here’s a game to try out in the meantime. Similar in concept to popular game Ridiculous Fishing on iOS, Ninja Fishing from Gamenauts.

It’s a pretty cool game but there are occasional ads in it and a freemium aspect to it as well. But if you’re willing to plug away at it, you could eventually get somewhere with it. You play as a ninja – this will come into it later – and it’s a basic fishing style mission to start off with, you cast your line and use the accelerometer in your phone to tilt it back and forward to miss all the fish on the way down trying to get to the lowest depths possible. Then once you can go no further you’ll grab as many fish on the way down as possible. Now, once your fish/hook reaches the top – Ninja time! Your fish are flung into the air and you have to slice them up by swiping the screen with your finger, it will take several swipes depending on the fish.

It’s a pretty fun game, you get points for reeling in new fish, there’s also treasure chests to open and dynamite is thrown into the mix as well. It’s not bad for kids either, I played it with my two year old who loved swiping the screen….but not waiting for the hook to reach the bottom.

Try it out and see what you think, it’s free after all and no-one is going to make you use the Freemium aspect. It’s a 63MB download – with a small additional download at the start – that’s available for devices running Android 2.2 and upwards.
