Google is running a promotion on Google Play for Free and Discounted Offers. In their words :

Choose from our selection of free and discounted products from across the Google Play Store. Looking for more great entertainment? View our Books from 99c or check out some SD Movie Rentals Under $4 to get inspired.

There’s a free books – The Department 19 Files: the Secret History of a Teenage Vampire by Will Hill and The Sparrow by Jason Mott of course these are only one book in a series by both authors, so click on their names to check out the rest if you enjoy the free one.

There are deals on movies – District 9 and Battle Los Angeles are available to rent for $3.99 but really to own in HD for only $8.99 each is a bargain.

There’s music to purchase as well from Kings of Leon, but I’m not much of a music guy, so I have no idea who most of these bands are.

And don’t forget, the Book of the Week Deal is A Dark Place to Die by Ed Catterton, which is available for just $4.99.

Found a good deal on an app you’d like to share? Are you an Australian developer with an app you would like reviewed? Or have you found a most expensive app on the Play Store? Let me know! You can tweet me or email me.
