I’m going on a little bit of a rant today. There’s a few things that annoy me, and one of those is what I deem to be false or misleading advertising. What I’m talking about is the advertising for the Nexus 4. The first part of the tag line for the Nexus 4, in the main banner ad that is being splashed across the Google Play page is ‘Totally wireless’.
Nexus 4
But it’s not totally wireless, is it? Nor can it be without access to a Qi charger, which to date Google has so far failed to supply us access to. There isn’t even a mainstream Qi charger available to go purchase from a store, the Nokia fatboy pillows are about as close as you can get and they’re generally ‘order only’ at most retailers.

The recent government report into Geo-Blocking, says that this must stop and here’s another reason why. The fact that we had to wait six months to get the Nexus 10 book cover and STILL haven’t gotten access to the Nexus 4 wireless charging orb is ridiculous.

Anyway, I’ve ordered my Nexus 4 wireless charging orb from Mobile Zap it should be here soon, I just hope it works as well as an official accessory should.

Found a good deal on an app you’d like to share? Are you an Australian developer with an app you would like reviewed? Or have you found a most expensive app on the Play Store? Let me know! You can tweet me or email me.

I’m using a wireless charger I bought off eBay for $30 and it actually works really well. The only problem I have is very very rarely I’ll place my phone on the charger and the phone looks like its been taken over by a ghost… Sometimes I wish I got the S3 instead of the Nexus for example apparently Snap chat ( not that I really use it) is not compatible with the nexus 4 I thought buying a nexus device all apps etc.. Would be fine looks like it is better to go with a Sammy in a lot… Read more »
