Some of you may already be familiar with the app Field Trip. It gives you information on the places and activities which you can do in the places around you. For instance, if you’re near or at a significant landmark it will give you information about that specific landmark.

Before today you could only get Field Trip on Android and iOS, but now you can get it on Google Glass. So now you can get information on locations around you while you’re looking directly at them which is very cool.

The Glass app can pair with your phone so that you can toggle settings about how detailed you want the information to be on the places around you — you might just want historic places instead of interesting user-submitted locations.

We haven’t got Glass to test it on, but it sure looks promising and very, very interesting. So.. Google, how about Glass for consumers?
