Welcome to the 84th pisode of the Ausdroid podcast!

This week Phil and Geoff caught Jason up on the news, because frankly he hasn’t been paying much attention to it.

Vodafone caused a bit of a stir in the Australian carrier space this week with the release of its new Red plans. We spent a bit of time discussing the plans and the value they provide, along with their $5/day roaming options. Jason and Geoff then spent a bit of time going over their new 2013 Nexus 7s – if you haven’t yet read Geoff’s review, you really should. We covered some of Samsung’s new Australian releases including the S4 Active (which looks damn hot), the Mega (which Jason reviewed in July and quite liked), and the S4 Mini – again. Finally, we looked at the firestorm Google raised for itself by breaking Koush’s AirCast app and what it means for Chromecast as a whole. We wound up with some app news and some recommendations from the chat room.

Featuring: Jason Murray and Phil Tann and Geoff Fieldew.
