The upcoming Sandra Bullock, George Clooney movie – Gravity – looks BRILLIANT!!! I’ve been wanting to see it since I first saw the first soundless teaser trailer – remember in space, no-one can hear you scream – and it opens in Australia on October 3rd, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait till then to experience a part of it. Warner Bros. have released the tie-in game GRAVITY: DON’T LET GO and it’s quite frankly fascinating to play, a big deal of the movie is the spatial awareness that the movie has, it’s been specifically shot in 3D and the game gives you the same feeling of 3 dimensional movement that I think the movie will bring.

You start on a single player campaign – multi-player coming soon – and you essentially start off with what you see in the trailers, you’re spun off into space and you have to detach from a robotic arm that you’re attached to, it’s a basic hit the on-screen button type deal and then you’re free but spinning and you have to then use your suit thrusters to stop your self spinnning. Once you’re stable you find your crew-mate and head for the International Space Station for part 2 of the game – repairing the station.

You’ll EVA out to the external reaches of the ISS to repair modules destroyed in the storm of debris that spun you off from the shuttle in the first place, all the while keeping an eye on your oxygen levels and travelling back to the air-lock to replenish them. I’ve only played till here but am really enjoying it, get it on your device running Android 2.3 and upwards but at 44MB, you may want a Wi-Fi connection.

Check the trailer for the movie out if you haven’t already :
