Want to get your Fitbit working with your BLE enabled device but it isn’t a Samsung Galaxy S3/S4 or Note 2? Well over at XDA you can download a modified Fitbit APK that will let you do exactly that, XDA Member Dimfish has posted the APK which is 6.82MB that basically does this for the Nexus 4 as well as other phones.

You will of course need to sideload the APK, by allowing external sources in your Settings, you’ll also need to uninstall any existing Fitbit App installs. Quite frankly, I don’t like having to do this, but the fact that Fitbit have not actually updated their App to use 4.3 support is insane. I’ve asked some sources from Fitbit to comment on it but it’s too good not to share.

Found a good deal on an app you’d like to share? Are you an Australian developer with an app you would like reviewed? Or have you found a most expensive app on the Play Store? Let me know! You can tweet me or email me.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
