With the Android 4.4 now pushed to AOSP, with Android the next step is of course developers will begin building ROMs and first out of the gate, at least for the 2012 and 2013 Nexus 7(Wi-Fi only) and the Nexus 4 is the team at Paranoid Android who announced on Google+ that the ROMs are now available to download from their site as well as an Android 4.4 GApps package.
The ROM is at this stage a pure AOSP ROM to get you onto Android 4.4 and check out the latest improvements that Google has offered. The team at PA has advised that custom Paranoid Android modifications will come soon :
features will roll in right away. i think hybrid might be in there today, then pie, halo, ///, completely redone quicktoggles, etc
From reading the comments in the Google+ post, it appears that there are mixed results for people with flashing on older versions of both TWRP and CWM, so it would be advisable to make sure you have the latest version of your chosen Custom Recovery before embarking on any attempts to flash one of these ROMs.
The PA servers seem to be getting hammered at this stage, but there are apparently mirrors cropping up to share the load around, or you could just wait a day or two….
If you’ŕe in the mood to flash the latest build then head over to the Paranoid Android webpage where you’ll find links to the latest ROMs as well as the 01/11 GApps package that yoú’ll need to flash to get all the latest Google goodies.
Will you flash this ROM or wait for custom PA features to be rolled into it?
