After using the LG G2 and Lumia 925, double tapping on the screen to wake became a very natural way to wake my device, so I started using Touch Control. It’s a paid app worth $3.34 to get the double tap to wake or you can get the free version which allows slide2wake.

You’ll need root access as the app needs to download a modified kernel, which it does itself, but after that you’re good to go. You can even set the device to swipe to lock – Awesome!

The App needs Android 4.2, but seeing as only works on the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7(2013) and Nexus 4 this shouldn’t be a problem, all indications are that it will work on the Nexus 5 as well.

Highly recommended if you haven’t tried it, give it a go and see what you think.

Found a good deal on an app you’d like to share? Are you an Australian developer with an app you would like reviewed? Or have you found a most expensive app on the Play Store? Let me know! You can tweet me or email me.
