In just one week’s time now, Saturday 16 November 2013 at 5.30pm, Ausdroid Community Foundation and the Eli Hayes Healey Foundation will be holding their first fundraising gala event at a black tie event to be held at the Intercontinental Melbourne &mdash The Rialto. Jason, Chris and myself will be there on Saturday night, and the evening offers a bit of entertainment to boot — drinks and canapés are included, and there’ll be live entertainment, and a charity auction on the night, including a range of products and services you can bid on.

Why are we telling you about this? In short, if you’re looking for something to do next Saturday night in Melbourne, and you’d like to support a great cause — raising funds to directly help the families of seriously ill children — then look no further. Tickets are $120 apiece, and we’d love to see you there on the night.

Tickets are available until 5pm on Tuesday 12 November, so if you’re keen, by all means come along. You can order tickets through the ACF’s secure website, and if you’ve got any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below and we’ll come back to you.

Besides supporting a worthy cause, the three of us would like to meet any of you who’d like to come along, so we hope to see you there!

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
