After all the furore over the multi-billion dollar sale to Facebook the other day, I installed WhatsApp and found that not many of the people in my contacts use it. What kind of install base have you seen for WhatsApp in your circle of friends or family?

I was planning to use it to communicate with my family as I don’t use Facebook, which they all use, and they don’t use Hangouts which I prefer. What do you use to communicate with your family? Or do you just stick to plain old SMS?

Found a good deal on an app you’d like to share? Are you an Australian developer with an app you would like reviewed? Or have you found a most expensive app on the Play Store? Let me know! You can tweet me or email me.

Family… email and Facebook still reign supreme. I don’t use Hangouts because I only really use Google+ to follow people in the tech & photography industries, whom I don’t have a one-on-one chatting relationship with.
