Samsung Australia is giving away five Samsung Galaxy S5 handsets, and you can win one for yourself easily via a very simple competition on Samsung’s Facebook Page.

All you need to do is

  1. Log into Facebook
  2. Enter your personal details
  3. Tell Samsung 5 words that “power your Australian life

While I’m personally doubtful that I’ll ever be fortunate enough to win such a competition, you’ve got to be in it to win it, right?

I’d recommend (however dry the reading is) having at least a skim of the Terms and Conditions of entry to make sure you’re eligible and that you understand the rules.

I won a barbecue once over a Facebook competition. It had a sound system incorporated into it too… It was part of a promotion for an automobile manufacturer, pushing one of their commercial vehicles. All I did to win it was attach an electric drill to a fishing rod and video it… Yeah they delivered it on a pallet. Was kind of funny.

I won an Nvidia Shield in a twitter comp run by nvidia last year. Had to post a photo of myself with my nvidia gear. My selfie with my nexus 7 in bright sunlight with clouds and sky in the background must have stood out amongst the countless gamers with their mother boards and graphics cards in dimly lit bedrooms…

My #apostrophepolice sense is tingling.

Well, I’m gonna enter. Why not, it’s free and easy?

That Samscum are running this conpetition on Farcebook, really shows the corporation’s attitude toward Google.

You really do spread the negativity across Ausdroid don’t you? If it was me at Samsung’s Social Team, I would also choose the network that reaches out to more people and is easier for me to set up. Google+ would not be very attractive to run a competition.

Wow, your well of negativity is amazing. I fail to see how one company’s product promotion can be an affront to Google (or to you in this matter?)

Yeah I don’t remember the last time she had anything positive to say here lol.

The fact is that there is more people on FB than on Google+. So what’s the problem here?

Google+ doesn’t offer the App integration that Facebook does which enable such competitions to be easily run, sorted and fulfilled.

Would you rather Samsung ask people to share their personal information publicly in the comments on a Google+ post? Think it through for a minute, Jeni.

BTW are there any internet companies you do like? If not, please share more of your hilarious names for various corps. Fumblr? Yapoo? Twatter? I’m sure you can do better than my amateur attempts.

Stop stinkin up the place haaaaaaaaa
