Do you know if the the Qi cards keep the water resistance?

Im going to guess that it doesnt. I know for the note 3 the official wireless cover was a little thicker than the normal one so I wouldnt be surprised if its the same again with a different seal on it.

Ive found the official covers to be around $50 online which is pretty pricey. Im holding off till I get some confirmation.

all we need is an SGS5 that we can put a Qi receiver in and dunk under water! Our local Telstra store that we tested this out on wouldn’t let us dunk it in water……

I don’t know for certain, but it (like the S4 one I have) slots in behind the rear cover of the device so I doubt it would have any bearing on the IP rating of the device.

The one I had for the S4 made some covers incompatible and now it has a permanent dent in the original back plate :/
