April 2014 Distribution Numbers
The April numbers are in for the Android platform distribution and it’s looking good for KitKat, with a 3.2% increase in numbers. There’s a small drop in Gingerbread use as is expected as older handsets get upgraded and Jelly Bean saw a small decline over the three versions that are counted. Overall, Froyo and Honeycomb still hang in there, but we expect them to stay round a little longer.

Check out the comparison month over month:

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
