Samsung is about to follow into the footsteps of Toshiba, launching a 13.3″ tablet, at least according to a leak from GSMArena.

The leak centres on a spreadsheet, which details three upcoming tablets including two SuperAMOLED based devices and the behemothly large 13.3″ ‘Warhol’.

GSMArena advise that the three tablets will come in 3G and Wifi variants, and while they’ll have different screen sizes, ranging from 8.4″, through 10.5″ up to 13.3″, they will all have WQXGA (2560×1600) resolution.

GSMArena posit that the 10.5″ T801/T800 ‘Chagall’, will be known as the Galaxy Tab S, but there will also be the T701/T700 or ‘Klimt’, which will be an 8.4″ model.

Rumours surround the tablets processor, which according to an appearance on AnTuTu, is rumoured to be an Octa-Core Exynos 5 processor with big.LITTLE architecture that will feature four Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 1.9GHz paired with four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores. A Hexa-core Mali-T628 GPU will be included and 32-bit LPDDR3e RAM running at 933MHz will be on-board as well. Finally, the tablets should include an 8MP Rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera and for the fun of it, a fingerprint reader.

The 13.3″ ‘Warhol’ is going to be a Galaxy Tab branded tablet, but will apparently run the same Android 4.4 ‘Galaxy S’ software from the ‘Chagall’ and ‘Klimt’ tablets. Except for the screen size and resolution and the fact it’s an LCD screen and not an AMOLED display, there’s not much known about the tablet, but we hope to see more soon.

These tablets are the same every year just with minor differences. I really wish they’d go for the higher res displays. It’s really holding them back from beating Apple in the tablet market.

Higher res than 2560×1600?
