It’s the Queens Birthday long weekend in Australia and Google Play is holding a sale, offering a range of discounts on content including Books, Music, as well as Movies and TV.

Bargains in Google Play Books include options from as low as 90 cents. A wide range of authors are represented, from Tom Clancy to Cathy Kelly and including Australian author Colleen McCullough.

Google Play Music is offering ‘Big Albums For $6.99’ including albums such as X&Y from Coldplay, Midnight Memories from One Direction and even Australian artists such as Jessica Mauboy’s Beautiful and Keith Urbans Fuse are included in the sale.

Google Play Movies & TV has taken a minimum of 50% off the normal price of a range of top movies. Movies such as Gravity are hard to beat at the moment, with prices to purchase starting from $9.99SD/$12.99HD.

There’s also a sale on Season One of TV shows, with Season One going for as low as $11.99 for the first season of shows such as Entourage, True Blood and The Wire. With a 99c sale on the first episode of some of these series, so you can try them out.
