The Motorola Moto E has been on-sale in Australia since July, but Motorola is beginning to make the handset available to more retailers, with Officeworks now offering the handset for sale in their stores.

The handset is priced at just $172 in-store with no sales being offered through the Officeworks website. The handset is only available in Black at this stage, with no sign of the White variant. The handset is of course Dual-SIM so you can add in whichever SIM cards you wish.

Motorola Moto E Specs:

  • Dual Core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 Processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB On-board storage with microSD card up to 32GB
  • 5MP Rear Camera (no front-facing camera)
  • Radios:
    • 2G: 850/900/1800/1900
    • 3G: 850/900/1900/2100
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0(BLE), GPS with A-GPSb
  • Android 4.4 (Kitkat)
  • 1980 mAh Battery
  • 124.8×64.8×12.3mm @

The Moto E is a great example of a cheap Android handset ‘done right’. If you’re still on the fence and want to, you can read Chris’ review of the handset here.
