Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - 2014 Edition
Long suffering owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) are beginning to report receiving a notification to update their tablet to Android 4.4.

Thanks to reader Anthony who sent us the information, it appears that the tablet is receiving firmware update P600XXUCNH3. The update, which clocks in at over 500MB in size, takes the tablet from Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) which the tablet shipped with, up to Android 4.4.2.

The update brings about a few changes including lockscreen shortcuts, the transparent notification panel, updates to S Pen and associated apps and of course the ever famous Bug Fixes and performance improvements.

The update should be rolling out now, so look out for a notification, or you could of course try Samsung’s Kies desktop client to see if it’s available. If you’ve received the update, let us know what you think in the comments

Thanks: Anthony.

There is no lock screen shortcuts option in the lock screen setting with swipe screen security, after the upgrade from Android 4.3 to Android 4.4.2 for my P600 Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition in Australia. No idea why.

Has anyone noticed their home, back & options buttons stop working until you reboot with this update?

I’d just like to find somewhere in Australia that has any stock left of the Black 32GB LTE version…
Does Samsung make one batch of their tables then stop making them? It’s still 2014, but nobody knows if the’ll ever get more stock from their ‘suppliers’ 🙁

Any news for the original Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8020 4.4.x update?

Got my update this morning – quite a bit snappier now (or so it seems to me).

Now if only Foxtel would release the Go app for this model!
