Voda Smart 2+3G wifi+Spotify Woolies banner

Woolworths are offering a back to school special which includes the Vodafone Smart 4 smartphone, which comes with a 3-month Spotify premium membership, AND a 3G PocketWiFi Broadband device for $79.

The Vodafone ‘Smart’ series of devices have been a bit of a huge success in the European market and it would seem Vodafone is wanting to make the device just as popular here with this deal. As we have previously reported, the Smart Mini 4 isn’t anything special spec-wise, but when the data Subscription, phone and WiFi is taken into consideration, it’s not a bad bundle.

The full list of specs include:

  • 4.0″ WVGA TFT Display (480 x 800)
  • 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 Dual-core Mediatek MT6572 CPU
  • Mali-400 GPU
  • 512 MB RAM
  • 4GB Storage, expandable to 32GB via microSD
  • 3.15 MP rear camera only
  • Radios:
    2G: 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
    3G: 900 / 2100
  • Android 4.2.2
  • WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS
  • 121.6 x 64.4 x 12.3 mm @ 117g

The main selling point of course if the free 3 month premium subscription to Spotify which would normally cost $12 per month, but with the addition of a 3G WiFi modem as part of the deal, it certainly is a steal when just the phone and subscription was priced at $69 at Christmas, so an extra $10 for the WiFi modem is a real bargain!

The special starts this Wednesday and lasts for one week and is not available to purchase through Woolworths’ online store, so you will of course have to head in-store to your local Woolies to get the deal.
