Virgin Mobile
Virgin Mobile has today announced a new bonus for new sign-ups to their $35 SIM plan, offering to double their data to 2GB for a limited period.

The extra data will remain for the life of the plan, but the promotion to include it in the plan only runs from today until the fourth of March for new sign-upsn. It’s a SIM only plan so you’ll have to bring your own device along for the ride. Virgin measures their data in KB sessions so there’s some good news there. The $35 SIM Plan contains a fair bit of value, including :

  • 2GB of total data (including the new bonus 1GB)
  • $500 included vale
  • Unlimited mobile calls & text Virgin to Virgin within Oz
  • Unlimited standard national text within Oz
  • Rollover unused included call & text value
  • Free Voicemail in Oz
  • International Calls & Text

For more information on the Virgin SIM Plans – including terms and conditions – you can check them out on the Virgin Website. While you’re there, check out the offer for a Bonus Selfie Stick when you sign up before the 4th of March. Virgin Mobile is run off the back of the Optus network, to check on coverage in your local area before signing up to a plan you can check out the coverage checker on the Virgin Mobile website.

Been on a virgin 20 dollar cap plus 10 bucks for 2 GB giving me a total of 2.2gb. Sadly since canceling my old tablet plan I find my self constantly running out of data early 🙁

If I wasn’t stuck in a contract with Optus I’d switch over straight away.
