Google’s voice commands received a big update in the form of an additional command. You can now instruct Google to send a Voice Message with the ‘Ok Google’ voice prompt.

The command is simple – ‘Ok Google, send a hangouts message’ at which stage you’ll then get a prompt to let Google know who to send the message too and what message to send.
Ok Google - Send a Hangouts Message Window
It’s live now and ready for you to try. Check it out and see what you think.

Do you use Google Voice Commands? What is your success/fail rate?

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.

Doesn’t work on my Nexus 5. Should I receive a Google Now update before this works?

Likewise, doesn’t work on my fully up to date N5.
