Kmart Huawei Vodafone

In their latest catalogue, which started this past Thursday 2 April, has the Vodafone Huawei Y550 4G Pre-Paid Mobile Phone on special for $49.

The Huawei Y550 4G smartphone, was released late last year by Vodafone as their first ever 4G Pre-Paid device for $99. The sub-$100 price tag kicked off a new race amongst the three big telcos for cheap 4G pre-paid handsets, but it looks like Vodafone wins again with a sub-$50 price tag on the phone.

In case you have forgotten, here is a run down of specs the Huawei Y550 4G has to offer:

  • 4.5″ IPS display (854 x 480)
  • 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm MSM8916
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB Memory with about 1.8 GB available, expandable to 32GB via microSD
  • 5MP rear camera, 2MP front facing
  • Bluetooth v4.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS
  • Network Connectivity:
    • 2G: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
    • 3G: 850/AWS/1900/2100MHz
    • 4G: B2/B4/B7
  • Android 4.4

The Vodafone Huawei Y550 4G is available in-store only from 2 April 2015 to Wednesday 22 April 2015 for $49. You can find your local Kmart store available by clicking here.

Also in the same catalogue, Kmart have a couple of additional smartphone accessories to help with mainly photography such as a Mini Tripod for $8, Audiosonic Selfie Scope for $9, Bluetooth Camera Remote for $8 and a 3 In 1 Fisheye Micro Lens for $8. These products can be purchased either online or through your nearest Kmart Store.

    Might have it in their catalogue, but they didn’t have one in stock @ Broadway when the doors opened 7am Thurs 2nd – just another get them in the door promotion and not ensure stock is available. Same deal available to order online @ HN currently

    It’s a great price for what it is. With my wife’s old Huawei, it would constantly run out of room and couldn’t install app updates. Having an SD card is mandatory for anything less than 8GB.

    I bet it’s sold out everywhere if the sale started on Thursday.
