Xperia Lollipop
Sony has been slowly but surely delivering Lollipop to a range of their Xperia handsets. Until now though, they had been concentration on their higher end Z series devices. Today though, Sony has announced that the rollout of the Lollipop update to their Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 handsets – both of which have been sold in Australia – has begun.

The announcement has come, as usual, in the form of a series of tweets announcing the update, and though there’s no details on when the update will hit Australian handsets, we know it will come. The announcement tweet advises that the rollout is staged, so you’ll need to keep checking for the update.

Now that the Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia C3 handsets have their Lollipop updates underway, it is time to turn attention to the original Xperia Z handsets. Sony has further advised that the Lollipop update for the Xperia Z will begin in the next few weeks:

If you’re an Xperia T2 Ultra or Xperia C3 owner, go to Settings > About phone > Software updates > System updates and start checking. Let us know when you see your Lollipop update and what you think of it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
