Google Plus begins using its Twitter account

GooglePlus

That’s not a typo, Google Plus really has started using its Twitter account – which was opened back in 2011.

With an announcement made on their own Google Plus page, the question was posed if you tweet because they do too.

As a result they’ve very quickly picked up over 19,000 followers and that number is growing rapidly.

They’ve not yet posted anything beyond a “Hello World” and a bunch of replies to the posts directed at them on Twitter, so it’s not really clear what they’re intending to do with or gain from the account; only time will tell for sure.

What do you believe Google Plus could gain from having a Twitter account?
