Microsoft launches phone versions of Office apps on Google Play

Microsoft Office Phone Apps
After launching tablet versions of Office for Android this year, phone versions haven’t been available, but that stops today with Microsoft announcing that you can now download new Word, Excel & PowerPoint preview apps on your Android Phones.

The apps are available to members of the Microsoft Office for Android Google+ community, which you’ll need to join. Once you’ve joined there, you’ll need to sign up to be a beta tester, wait for that to take effect – up to four hours – then install the individual Office Apps from Google Play.

The apps are live now – once you’re acknowledged as a beta tester – so you can down load them when you’re ready :

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
