Samsung 2

The concept of an Iron Man themed Galaxy S6 Edge handset has been garnering a lot of positive attention around here. The standard handset is performing quite well after the latest software update, so a ruby red and gold Iron Man themed handset would seemingly go down a treat from all angles, and from the latest tease from Samsung on their Facebook page in Korea – it’s coming next week.

The picture, and corresponding description, is still light on details although the handset has previously been confirmed as coming in mostly red, seems to have a golden colour on that ring around the camera in the picture. There’s also the Iron Man picture on the rear which is either a decal or hopefully etched into the rear.

The appearance and tease on the Samsung Korea Facebook page does speak somewhat towards availability, which unfortunately doesn’t bode well for the Australian market. We traditionally haven’t seen much in the way of extra colour variants or special editions from Samsung in the past. We haven’t even seen the official Samsung Avengers cases or power mat released here officially, and are currently only available through an importer.

We’ve asked Samsung Australia about availability of the handset, but we imagine we’ll find out some more about the phone when it’s actually launched officially next week.
