NBA Live 16

The E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) is under way in LA and as always, there’s some interesting bits to come out of the week for mobile users as well as just the “geeky gamers”. One of the worlds largest game developers EA have made their annual announcements at the conference. Of particular note was the expanded capability of their already impressive companion app for the upcoming NBA Live 16 release to include a facial scanner to really put you in the game.

Calling the feature Gameface HD; the user can simply align their face inside a set area using the selfie cam, turn to the left, turn to the right and wait.

The facial features that the scan produces for very little time or effort from the user is astounding and demonstrates how good technology is these days. For anyone who has ever dreamed of becoming among the NBA elite players; like me, this may be as close as you’ll ever get.

The NBA16 announcement today was just one of many that EA made during their press conference along with Mass Effect Andromeda, a reboot of the much loved Need for Speed franchise, Star Wars; Galaxy of Heroes mobile game and Fifa 16.

If you could put your face in any game, what team would you make yourself a part of?
