OnePlus announces the next component in the ‘2’ spec list: a USB-C connector

OnePlus are ramping up their slow release of the specs for the OnePlus 2 which will be announced at some stage in Q3 this year. The phone has quite the bit of hype, due in no small part to OnePlus themselves who seem to know exactly how the mobile-tech community loves a spec list. Their latest announcement comes as a tweet announcing a feature that’s actually been an oft-requested one of late: USB-C.

The spec list is slowly growing, with OnePlus having now spoken about the processor (Snapdragon 810 v2.1), and now the USB connector. As their last launch, OnePlus should continue this slow tease right up until the final launch announcement of the OnePlus 2. We look forward to seeing what OnePlus has to offer on the 2, but we’ll probably be ordering from the US again.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.

Finally! A good phone is coming out with the USB C connector. Future proof? I think so!
