OnePlus yesterday came out and unashamedly admitted to slowly drip-feeding specs for their upcoming smartphone, and they’ve followed it up today with a look at the USB-C cable for the phone.

The cable is decked out in the red and white OnePlus colour scheme with a USB-C connector on one end. Administrator David S who posted the pics hinted that there is something special about the cable and it appears to show a reversible USB connector on the other end, making both ends able to be plugged in first time, every time.

It’s a tease, but then that may not be all for today, with Carl Pei tweeting:

As Carl said in his blog ‘All Aboard the Hype Train’. We think it will be a fun ride.

I might be wrong but I don’t believe you can have a reversible USB connector as the pins on the “non connected side” would short out on the USB jack.

Still nice to see Android manufacturers embracing USB C. The more the better!
