Google launched the Nexus Player in Australia back in April, with the set-top box going on-sale on Google Play, as well as in JB Hifi and Dick Smith stores, before launching the Gamepad on the Google Store shortly after. If for some reason you can’t get to a JB Hifi or Dick Smith store or order online from the Google Store you now have another option with Asus Australia listing the Nexus Player and Gamepad in their online store.

The pricing is exactly the same as you’ll find on the Google Store or in DSE or JB: $129 for the Nexus Player and $59 for the Gamepad, but unlike the Google Store you will have to pay shipping. Asus are charging an additional AU$ 18.98 for standard shipping in 3-6 Business days.

We can’t think of any reason to shop through Asus’ online store at this stage, but the option is still there if you want it. Now, if only they’d start selling the remote separately I`m sure someone has lost theirs by now.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
