Sony Xperia Z5 press shots arrive courtesy of Sony themselves

Sony 2
Sony’s upcoming press conference at IFA next week is shaping up to be quite exciting. The leak yesterday that we’ll see an Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact as well as an Xperia Z5 Premium sporting a 4K screen has turned quite a few heads. This morning it appears that Sony too is getting excited, enough to accidentally release press shots of the Xperia Z5.

There’s three shots that have appeared, a shot of the phone in a gold colour covered in water indicating the usual Xperia IP68 rating will be in tact. We also see something of the camera setup on a white version of the phone which should be in the region of a 1/2.3-inch 23MP Exmor RS sensor. Lastly we see the rear of a darker coloured model, though what it could be is anyone’s guess.

The Sony Press event begins next week at 4pm on the 2nd of September (midnight AEST on 2nd September) in Berlin. Ausdroid will be on the ground, so stay tuned for all the latest news as it happens.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
