Samsung’s latest foray into tablets is making its way to Vodafone, with the carrier announcing two new additions to its tablet range. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S2 (9.7″ model) and Galaxy Tab A (8.0″ model) are now available from Vodafone on a range of data plans.

Vodafone’s Director of Sales, Ben McIntosh, told Ausdroid that the company was excited to be offering Samsung’s state of the art tablets to Australians who are consuming more data than ever, with mobile data downloads doubling year on year, according to recent Australian Bureau of Statistic figures:

The impressive hardware specs of these two tablets combined with a 4G plan and coverage on Vodafone’s fast 4G network offer customers plenty of possibilities such as gaming, watching movies and television shows, browsing the internet and much more.

Ausdroid has a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 on the review bench, which Duncan will shortly be going through. For those unfamiliar, the Galaxy Tab S2 is a 9.7″ tablet featuring Samsung’s Super AMOLED display, Octa-core processor in a 5.6mm thick tablet form. Weighing in at just 392 grams, its nice, thin and light, and bound to be a worthy successor to last year’s Galaxy Tab S, which Jason grew quite fond of.

The plans start at $49 a month for 2.5GB of data, as set out in the table below:

The Galaxy Tab A is the next pricing tier down, featuring an 8″ display, 12 hour battery life and a slightly thicker, sturdier 7.5mm thick frame. Phil has taken a quick look at the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 which is quite informative.
