Google adds the factory image for the Nexus 6P to the developers page

Google has begun shipping the Nexus 6P to US customers, so with units arriving on doorsteps over there (and soon over here), Google has uploaded the Nexus 6P factory image to their developers page.

As you can see below, there’s two builds available for the Nexus 6P, both based on Android 6.0. The newest build – MDB08K – is the current latest firmware and if when you receive your phone you aren’t running that, there may be a quick OTA available to download for it. Users of the Nexus 5X in the US saw a similar small OTA arrive on their phones last week.

The builds are available to download now if you want to take a look at the firmware, or if you’re a developer you can grab the binaries for the Nexus 6P and start rolling them into a ROM.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
