Harvey Norman stores are starting to receive stock of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P

Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P
While JB Hifi staff may be under instructions not to sell the Nexus 6P until Tuesday, it looks like you may have another option if you want to get your hands on a Nexus phone this weekend. Some Harvey Norman stores are reporting the phone is in stock and ready to go.

My local Harvey Norman store here in Canberra has the Nexus 6P on-hand, with stock arriving in store yesterday, though the Nexus 5X is not yet here. Sydney stores though seem to have stock of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P with the Broadway store confirming stock ready to go. A quick call to a couple of Victorian stores unfortunately yielded no results.

It appears there’s stock out there so if you’re in a rush to get one of these phones, then there’s options. If you’re still undecided check out my first impressions of the Nexus 6P or Chris’ first impressions of the Nexus 5X, and see what we thought (Spoiler: they’re both great).

If you pick up a handset, let us know which store in the comments.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.

  1. None of the stores I called wanted to sell… Alexandria and Moore Park said they didn’t have any and Broadway wouldn’t let one go before Tuesday. :'(

  2. I had just got one from Harvey Norman store at Alexandria, 3 out of four is left in store. 🙂

  3. I rang two HN stores (Knox and Dandenong). Both had the 6P but not the 5X. I think I’ll just wait for Google to despatch it.
