Its fair to say that Sonos are the original and at the pointy end of the pack when it comes to music streaming devices in your home. The quality of their speakers is fantastic and the sound quality matches the price that they charge; which is unfortunately a deterrent for many buyers. Their new speaker, the PLAY:5 which has been receiving some outstanding reviews in the US, will be available in Australia on November the 25th.

The Wifi connectable speaker will set you back a pretty penny at AU$749 but with the design behind it, 6 custom drivers for the sound with dedicated amplifiers will give a full and complex range of sound that would otherwise not be possible. So if you’re keen to upscale your music listening experience I urge you to head to a dealer and check out the sound quality first hand before making a judgement about whether or not to spend the money.

We hope to check out the Sonos PLAY:5 once it becomes available and will offer our thoughts on the speaker then.
