LG has announced availability of a White Gold edition of the LG G4 in Korea. The phone has gone on sale today from 699,600 Korean Wan (about AU $860).

The new edition of the phone is expected to appeal to a younger female audience in LG’s home market, offering an attractive and refined colour palette on the front and frame of the phone as they head towards winter in the northern hemisphere.

Notably, the Korean price of the phone is a fair bit higher than the current going price for the G4 in Australia. Perhaps with a new colour comes a premium price?

Opinion around the Ausdroid office seems split, but I happen to think it looks pretty nice and hope to see it on our streets soon. We’ve put in a query with LG Australia’s PR folks to see if we can expect this to happen, and will update when we know more.

Update: Unfortunately, LG’s Australian PR folks have told us there are currently no plans to bring the colour variant to Australia. All together now … booooo! 🙁

Would you pick up an LG G4 in White Gold? Tell us in the comments!
