The focus on Australian music continues over on Google Play Music, we’ve had free sampler albums from the 80’s, 90’s and noughties, and now it’s over to Play : Aussie Rock, a sampler of rock anthems from Australian artists.

There’s some decent music on-board this 14 track album, from Jebediah, Noiseworks, Men at Work, Silverchair and Something for Kate, put it this way it’s a far cry from the Australian Idol focused Play : Music 00’s they gave away last week. The tracks are good Aussie rock, but it’s fairly mainstream, so if you’re looking for something alternative you’ll be disappointed.

And if you missed the earlier free albums, you can still grab Play : Aussie 80’s, Play : Aussie 90’s and Play : Aussie 00’s for just $0.99 each.

The Aussie Music Month focus these albums are being given away for is still going strong, I’ve already spent up big to grab some great albums and if you’re a fan of Aussie music you will have done so as well. Head over to the Google Play Music Australian Music Month focus and grab your free album and check out the music to make sure you haven’t missed anything.
