The Pitt Street Mall attracts around 65,000 shoppers every day, a lot of traffic for any retailer in the area, and the design and fit-out in the new store embodies the world class location and is a new step beyond Vodafone’s standard shopfront design, with a Glass Cube exterior and a loft-like interior.
Vodafone Director of Sales, Ben McIntosh,said the company was thrilled to open its doors next to some of the world’s most well-known international brands, saying “Today marks a very exciting time for Vodafone. Our new Pitt Street store represents the best of Vodafone retail and truly reflects the passion that Vodafone has for mobile technology and its commitment to delivering world class customer service”.
The new store features a massive device table showcasing devices, all of which are live, enabling customers to test out and learn about devices before making the purchasing jump. To help customers choose devices are 15 new employees, all eager to show off the new wares. As part of their nationwide retail expansion over the last 18 months, Vodafone has created 200 more roles throughout Australia.
Of the device showcase, Mr McIntosh said “As conversations are primarily the function of the store, we wanted to create an inviting space for customers to discover, play and experience new smartphones, tablets and wearables”.
As part of the launch, Vodafone will be offering exclusive deals on post-paid and pre-paid plans a the Pitt Street store until December 12th, surely a good reason to check out the new shop front.
