Update your Android avatar with an updated Androidify app from Google

Android Be Together Not The Same
Google’s Androidify app, you know the one which lets you create your own Android character similar to the ones they’ve been using in their Be Together, Not the Same commercials, has received an update, bringing more accessories, including Christmas accessories and other tech goodies.

The update is seasonal, with Google advising the update includes ‘New holiday gear just in time’. The seasonal update includes several of what are clearly meant to be ‘Ugly Christmas jumpers’ as well as hats, scarves, shoes and glasses.

Google has also been listening to feedback from users and has updated a heap of accessories based on that feedback including ‘phones & devices, sports gear, new outfits and more!’, this includes Nexus 5X and 6P phones, a Chromebook and of course as you can see, a Google Cardboard headset.

Rounding out the change log is of course the usual ‘Bug fixes and optimizations’, so you should get a good experience.

The update appears to be fairly freely available, so head over to Google Play and install Androidify and share your Android avatar.

Dan is a die-hard Android fan. Some might even call him a lunatic. He's been an Android user since Android was a thing, and if there's a phone that's run Android, chances are he owns it (his Nexus collection is second-to-none) or has used it.

Dan's dedication to Ausdroid is without question, and he has represented us at some of the biggest international events in our industry including Google I/O, Mobile World Congress, CES and IFA.
